How do we learn to pay attention to the movements of God in and around us? What are some ways we can pray that we don’t currently practice? What ways do we deceive ourselves about God? How do we open ourselves to God praying through us and transforming us?Using Henri Nouwen’s book as our reference point we will take two weeks to explore the third ‘movement’ toward a deeper spiritual life — moving from illusion to prayer. There will be reflections, readings and posting most of the days of this two-week class.Courses for the first and second spiritual movements of Nouwen’s spiritual journey are also available this Lent. This class is preceded by, on personal spirituality, and, on our relationship with others.
